    Trichotillomania

Impulse Control Disorders include specific behaviors that are typically unwanted or include long-term negative consequences but which are simultaneously difficult to control or stop.  These types of behaviors may include:

    Trichotillomania:

Impulsively pulling out one’s hair from either the scalp or other locations such as eyelashes, arms, legs, or pubic region.

    Dermotillomania:

Also known as skin picking, this is the impulsive picking or scratching of the skin’s surface.
