Welcome to Avalon Counseling. Together, we'll help you clarify what matters and provide you with the tools for living a fulfilling purposeful life.
Why Choose Avalon Counseling?
We were founded from a passion for helping people. We are guided and built upon the core values of uncompromising ethics, responsibility, strength, and compassion. We do not pretend to be a good fit for everyone. Sometimes budgets, schedules, expertise, or personality differences get in the way. And that's okay. It's why we also offer online counseling and telepsychology. Having the ability to work with people remotely vastly extends our ability to help people.

Dr. Lonnie Stapp, LCPC, LHMC, DE, Ph.D.
Welcome! My name is Lonnie Stapp; I am the founder and Clinical Director of Avalon Counseling, one of the top-rated out-patient mental health clinics in Coeur d’Alene and Northern Idaho.
We provide in office counseling and telepsychology counseling sessions for our Idaho and Washington state patients who prefer online sessions. If you have never participated in an online session, it may take a few minutes to get adjusted and to tweak the technology, but after that, most folks say they could not tell the difference between in-person and online sessions.
